Sleeping

A stage action unfolding within a temporary, fragile, and living structure.
Inside it, we peel, sing, tear and sort, burn and illuminate — in order to mourn what will not return, dismantle what weighs us down, shed what has dried and decayed, and release from all this a truth that can once again touch everything.
Premiered at Intimadbar Festival 2024, Hanna Gallery, Kulna Center, and as part of the group exhibition What Will Remain at the Boutique Gallery, Tel Aviv.

YA'ARA PERAH REICH
Creator and performer, a graduate of the Jacques Lecoq School of Physical Theatre in Paris and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York.
Works across theatre and performance as a playwright, director, and performer, bringing diverse worlds to the stage through the use of body, objects, voice, song, and text.
My artistic research moves along the edges: from the miniature to the infinite, between ugliness and beauty, the raw and exposed alongside the stylized and the exaggerated.
My works have been presented at festivals and theatres including the Acre Festival, Jerusalem Festival, CLOUNIN Festival (Austria), Clipa Theatre, Tzavta, HaSimta Theatre, ACUD Theatre (Germany), and the Pontempeyrat Center (France).
